From the article

"Hundreds of gun-rights advocates, many toting rifles and shotguns, gathered early Saturday at the Alamo in San Antonio to rally in support of gun ownership and the right to bear arms.

The rally, called "Come and Take It San Antonio," comes in response to what organizers called San Antonio police's "disregard for Texas law and The Constitution." Organizers said the police department has harassed gun owners and created a hostile environment for legal gun ownership."

This is in Texas of all places. If it is happening in SA Texas, then it won't be long before all cities take a hostile approach to gun carry and gun ownership. The 2014 elections to kick out the long term incumbent commies will prove over the next few years if we will legally keep our 2nd A rights. Gun owners and freedom loving people of our country had better get their heads screwed on right or we're not gonna recognize America much longer.

San An is not an anomaly. Texas can make all the claims they want. It's only been since the Lubys massacre that their own draconian gun laws have changed and their politician's fought like hell to keep them as they were. San An has been liberal as long as I can remember. My mother remarried and moved to Texas 35 years ago. I bought a house there and lived there for 5 years. Texas is more "fiscally" Conservative, which means not Conservative. Their big cities are no better than any other big city. Those who say they wouldn't walk through Detroit at night unless heavily armed? The same applies to Houston, DFW and the rest. San An is the same city that proposed blocking "religious zealots" from holding public office. Texas welfare system is out of control, worse than most states.

TankerHC I hear the same things from Dallas and Houston. The big urban centers are also the center of $$ in a state and thus get to swing it quite a bit - look at California and New York. People not in the large urban areas can barely get a word in edgewise. The chuckleheads can focus their efforts there and sway the bulk of voters - and then Texas falls like others.

If I am not mistaken this program was put together by the Organization Of Oath Keepers of Texas but anyone was welcome to attend as long as they followed the guidelines set forth by Oath Keepers........ :usa:
