Haha! I get the point you're making Spiffy, but I have to chuckle a little... I make sought after luxury goods for a living. It's pretty amazing the flawed items many people happily pay full price for! I am constantly amazed at what makes it out to the public. Often I check our product out in the retail establishments and find all kinds of things many people may never see. Most end users will never know all of the imperfections their item has, but some will. However, as long as the customer is happy with their item or the mfgr corrects something not to their satisfaction, isn't that what matters in the end?

That brought a thought into my head, I wonder if we'll ever see relicing come into fad in the gun community? I can see it now, "for the bargain price of $1,200. your brand new DPMS can have the look of a cherished war horse..."

What about automotive?!

C'mon, don't you want a brand-new beat up pickup just like the one Dad had when he taught you to drive? Haha!

Maybe if you have to park in a less-than-salubrious area. Have a wrap that makes your car look like a beater. Or that ad where the guy pulls the cover off his car that makes it look like a beater and it's shiny new underneath (that one was done with computer trickery though).
