My Noveske KX3 was delivered today...damaged

Recommended Posts

I am definitely outnumbered on this one. I posted something about it on Arfcom about it, and got hammered for whining. :biglol:

Arfcom was stupid when I left it over a decade ago. I go back there every so often when researching a new buy and see that nothing has changed other than getting worse. Bunch of douchebags.

I received an email from Chris at US Gun Source. He's been very eager to get this issue resolved, He just informed me that Noveske will be getting in contact with me to take care of the exchange. He's already received his return authorization information, so I suspect I will be receiving mine in the not too distant future.

I just got to looking close at one I got from Noveske. It has a much slighter version of the rubs that your has. I

had to look pretty hard at it, though. That looks like a processing rub, or maybe something caused by movement

of the product during the shipping process.

Paul, it isn't that you are outnumbered, but that the product is still intact and no dings or dents. That finish will end

up more beat up than that after the first few times its used, unless you expect it to be a safe queen. If it is a genuine

Noveske, and not a fake, which I think you have already determined, I would just screw it on and use it, but that is

completely a personal and subjective opinion on my part and not reflective of how you may feel.

Personally, I would feel much better knowing that Noveske does want to honor the product somehow. They have a

good reputation and I think they want to keep it. In my case, that would be good enough for me. I wouldn't give advice

on whether or not to return it because it is totally up to you. But you did pay over retail on it, and I understand. I

won't do that.

In my opinion, it is clearly a packaging issue. The $10 over retail price aside, If it was going on an existing rifle that's already seen some use, I wouldn't sweat it. But this is going on the TGO build, so I may be being extra picky.

While these are ultimately a tool, a well-built custom/semi-custom firearm is almost like artwork to me. It must look good, even for a short time.

Used the one shown today at the range on a 300 BO pistol it fng roared, i wore double ears to be safe, it didn't wake the neighbors like the miculek compensator did on a 556. The arfcom boys are arfcom boys. From what I've read most remind me of the mall ninja at his first IDPA. At least Noveske is making it right. I looked at mine for a bit last night, I think the fix is to do a light foam wrap around the outside to hold it in,versus it leaving grants pass on the brown trucks spinning in its cocoon making a ring till it hits the doors here in TN.I'm impressed w the USGS guys, great place to deal with.

I understand why you'd be upset. You pay a price for something, you expect what you paid for.

...me, myself...I couldn't complain about it. I hate perfect finishes. They make me less inclined to actually USE something and with a name like Noveske, them suckers are made for hard work, not show boating. I'd have to run it. Although, I might tell them about it and see if I could score a hat or some stickers or something. Lol!

Noveske sent me the return info. They are going to take care of it.

That says an awful lot for them, doesn't it? That would make me pretty damned loyal, wouldn't it you?

For sure. They didn't waste any time getting on it. I received an email today, informing me that they received it. They will ship out the new one in a day or so.

Noveske and US Gun Source will get my business again, for sure.

I like the argument that no one would pay full price for a new truck with flawed paint. I don't care to have a beat up looking item as long as Im the one who got to do the beating up. When I purchase something factory new I expect it to be in factory new condition.

Just my .5 cent.
