Colt Anaconda Holster

Recommended Posts

I have a Colt Anaconda with a 6 inch barrel I bought new some 20 or so years ago. Love it and would love to have something better than the cheap nylon generic holster I use now when hunting. Use it as backup weapon, not primary hunting weapon. Problem is the Anaconda isn't made any more so no manufacturer describes holster as fitting the Anaconda. I like the molded leather holsters, but I realize that May be to much to hope for. I could use a non-molded leather holster with a flap that could be rigged across the chest, but would sizing for the Redhawk work? I think they have a 5.5 or 7 inch barrel. What weapon should I order for?

Long way to ask what size to order for a good fit on the Anaconda with 6 inch barrel?

Something like this?

An Anaconda isn't a rare firearm, so a lot of custom holster makers will still make holsters for them. You probably aren't going to find one at your local sporting goods store, however. You could try one made for a 6" Smith and Wesson N frame. I expect they are very close in size.

A quality custom made leather holster will cost you, but if you carry it much, it'll be worth every penny.
