Kirby Lambert knives

I know many of you have never heard of Kirby, I asked him to email me some pictures of his knives so I can get an idea of exactly what I want when my name comes up in his waiting list. Trust me this will not be an easy decision, this guy is one of the best knife makers in the world,

Here are just a few pictures that he sent me of his work,

   Wow!! Those look great! I'm not a big knife guy, but those could change my feeble little mind.

Those Damascas blades are beautiful. And the dual effect on the handles...excellent.

Looks to be about the size of a ZT350. Close? A little large for my taste, but wow...very sharp.

:stunned:  :squint: ...I'm sorry.  Pun was just too easy to pass up.

Yes they are a little large, but I like that size in a folder, the 5th one from the top immediately caught my eye, I may go for one like that I have two years to get the funds together and let him know what I want so I will have him make a very special one for me

Personally, I like the blade style of the knife in the first pic in the first post (looks like the blade style of the last pic in the first post is the same or similar.)  I like the proportions, grip style, 'upper' handle and (apparent) overall size of the one in the third pic down.  To round it out, I like the wood scales on the lower handle of the fourth pic down.  If I were ordering (which isn't likely as I don't see me ever having the spare funds to order a custom knife) I'd want to combine those elements of those three knives to make one truly beautiful folder.

Kirby is a true gentleman and he is letting me get two knives from him when my name comes up, they will both be awesome!

The blade shape on the first knife is very similar to a Kershaw Whirlwind.  I used to carry one of those, and I sent one to Iraq.
