Ted....Nugent for President?

Compared to what I have seen out there for a long time now, I'd vote for'm. He's way more knowledgeable than 90% of the people I see on forums, such as this, on damn near any political subject, than what most see in the media. He may be half wild but he's no dumbass and is not skeered to express his rights and call you out, unlike the idiots on the hill, now. 'Course that don't mean he could get anything, at all, done on the hill, either. 500+ idiots up there that don't play well with others, ya know? He knows how most things should work, inclucing capitalism and sees the corruption purdy damn well. If I voted (I don't), I would vote for'm. He's far more morally, ethically and enviromentally correct than most in the biz today and he would skeer the crap outta our enemies. Just him being there would have the same effect as a .45 held to your head, only he'd pull the trigger, if you were stupid enough to test'm. Can't be worse than anything else that's been voted in for....ever.

Now I like Ted Nugent but before anyone puts him in an ivory tower you may want to look up his history.

He has a bunch of kids, 8 with 5 out of wedlock, and this "family man" fought hard to keep from paying child support for some of them. Eventually he was ordered to pay but it seems like he would have done the rightthing in the first place and take care of his kids.

Then there was the incident involving the 17 year old Pele Massa when he was ~30. Because he coudn't legally marry her he convinced the parents to give him guardianship. But rather than marry her like he promised he sent her on her way when he was done with her.

I support his views on guns but not much else.

He's also a self admitted draft dodger, twice self admitted convicted poacher, and runs high fence killing preserve where fat guys who can't walk can pay exorbitant fees to shoot imported exotic animals.

Other than all that I guess he's okay.

Uncle Ted has plenty of skeletons in the closet. A Lib might get away with, but not anyone else. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk

We can't even find out about Obamas closet skeletons. There must be a conspiracy going on within the government!

This. EVERYONE has skeletons. Some people poach. Some people drive their cars into rivers and leave their booty call to drown. Some people knowingly allow and even watch the brutal assassination of a US ambassador and citizens unfold as if it were the latest action movie. Eapking hit the nail on the head...only a lib gets away with it.

What he did is pretty disgusting too.

I totally agree. Draft dodging is the biggest problem I have with him. Blatant cowardice. But since then, he has done a lot to support the troops as well as gun rights. I would, however, like to hear him formally address the issue. I am in no way making excuses for him, but I will maintain my position that he would be 1k times better than what we have right now.

Everyone has something like a skeleton in their closet. There are better choices, though, but if he ran, and could win,

we'd better off. Histories are what kill anyone's chance. People do change, however, and some in ways that make them

better off. Live and learn. I'm not saying some of the comments are too harsh about Ted, but his ideology is solid. I know

what I was like when I was young and dumb. That's why I won't judge his past.

There are very good and consistent people who would make better candidates, but they choose to stay out of the game

because they know, for one reason or another, they would be ineffective. You will never find the perfect candidate. If

you think you have one, wait five minutes to see the dirt that's found out about him.

Hell I'd vote for him, but at this point I'd vote for a stray bitch dog.

LOL..........I might vote for a stray mutt but would have to be a male mutt..........I don't think Washington DC and the country is ready to put a woman in the White House quite yet. I have nothing against a woman politician per=say but the thought of having a Hilliary or a Pelosi in the Oval Office scares the hell out of me..............jmho

That this is even remotely a serious question shows how broken the Republican Party is.  :shake:

Sorry folks, but it seems that all it takes to be considered as a viable candidate for POTUS is to be loud and obnoxious and make abstract statements about policy that people like.  The Dems got Obama, The Reps wanted Palin, then Newt, and then Bachman.  Then it was Rubio. Then it was Rand Paul.  Now it's Ted Cruz.  And people here are seriously saying that Ted Nugent would be a good candidate, but would also likely say that voting for a solid Libertarian is giving the election away to the Dems???
That this is even remotely a serious question shows how broken the Republican Party is. :shake:
+1 here. It's quite obvious that the Repubs are badly fractured. They could learn a lot from the Dems. For example, regardless of their internal bickering, they know how to coalesce and become one when the cards on the table whereas the Repubs act like separate parts of a whole. I live in a pretty politically diverse area and when election time rolls around, I frequently see the Dems out in the neighborhood knocking on doors, can't say that about the Repubs. For whatever reason, many Repubs feel like people should come to the party instead of the party going to the people. I think if they made minor but significant changes, they would have better results. From my GSIII using TPR Edited by blueghost

I don't think anyone is real serious here but given a choice, the point being we could do a lot worse. We also wouldn't have to worry about his vote on the 2nd if Ted was in office.

The detroit-crats will attempt to destroy anyone that is a threat to them. The way I see it is to give them so many choices that maybe one Patriot will slip by and that would be one more that's badly needed on our side.

I think in all honesty any real Conservative Republican that would have a good chance right at this moment would be to smart to not even mention a run. They are going to wait and see what the 2014 mid terms bring before any one with any sense will then either throw their hat in the ring or just keep quiet and keep doing what they are doing. Right now there is so much stuff going on and Washington Dc going in so many different directions and the country going in so many directions no one except maybe Obama and Harry Reid know which way it is headed next.............jmho

Yep, Obama and Reid are leading our country over the cliff and straight to Third World status which is maybe a half step from hell.

Yea, he's no saint, that's for sho' but he's still better than the BS that's previously held office for a long time. At least he "eventually" owns up to his crap and I'm sure he's grown a "little" wiser over the years. Ha! I would love to see him debate even if he didn't have the proverbial snowball's chance of winnin' anything. That is bound to be as entertaining as his live rock shows are.

Yep, it is only those two that are responsible.

They are the leaders of their commie party that have to have it their way or the highway. But let us add Nancy Pelosi to the mix who said " we've got to pass the bill to know what's in the bill "(Obamacare), and just recently said " what difference does it make " (pork in the bill) on reopening the government. They shoved Obamacare (control of people) down everyone's throat when no one wanted it. What's gonna be the consequences of Obamacare? Everyone with a brain knows the answer. They want your guns and will probably get them pretty soon, and make all gun owners outlaws. They want to give amnesty to illegals so they can let them vote as many times as they can pull the lever. Obama promised to fundamentally transform America, and he's kept his promise. How's that working out for freedom lovers? They want more of your hard earned money, and they are getting it through sleight of hand of legislation, executive fiat, trampling the Constitution, and legislation from the judicial bench. They're running up debt worst than shopaholics that's gonna bankrupt our country pretty soon.

Yep, I would attribute these three commies to fundamentally transforming America into Amerika. Yep, the democrat party is the new Communist Socialist party of Amerika. And the Tea Party is the new conservative party of freedom loving Americans. Anyone want to accelerate the process of America going over the cliff, then keep voting for these commies.

Update on Ted,..... yeah I know, you've been on pins and needles  :P

Rocker Ted Nugent is still toying with the idea of running for president, he told radio station WCSX:

During a recent Google Hangout session hosted by Detroit Classic Rock station WCSX, in which fans were invited to ask Uncle Ted questions, the rocker got the rumor mill turning again by addressing a potential political run.

“I have threatened to run for public office because I have been prodded to do so…so it’s not off the table,” Nugent said. “At this point it would be up to Mrs. Nugent and my family. I would consult with my manager Doug Banker.  But I’m being pushed pretty hard to run for public office.”

Ted then goes on to outline what could be campaign platform, discussing his qualifications and the changes he would make if he were in office. After he finishes, WCSX Program Director [Jerry Tarrants] jokes “I’m going to take that as a ‘yes’” to which Nugent responds, “That would be a ‘Sure, why not?’”
