Vortex Diamondback 4-12x40 DEAL!!!

I am pretty sure this is an awesome deal and wanted to point it out to you guys. I just ordered a Vortex Diamonback 4-12x40 from Optics Planet for $145 shipped. I called in and asked what the abosolute bottom dollar they would take is and she said $145. They have the "best offer" option on ebay so I thought I'd just cut to the chase. Anyone who has ever used these scopes have told me just how great they are so I'm giving them a shot. This was for the standard plex reticle.

Well considering they are listed at $259, and on sale for $189. Anything less is a great deal. Let us know when it arrives.

I've got a Diamondback 3-9x40 on my muzzleloader. I really like it, especially for the price. Good quality glass and seems to be very robust.

Well if mine ever gets delivered I'll let ya'll know how I like it! It was sent Fedex smartpost and if any of you have ever dealt with that you know it's the worst idea anyone has ever came up with other than the ACA. It should be here tomorrow but has literally taken just over a week.

That's weird. I did actually go on ebay and make an offer of $140. Don't know if that made a difference. I am sure they give them a lowest percentage they can go down and just let them use their discretion. Unless a manager was standing over her shoulder she did not put me on hold to check with anyone. Either way $170 is still a pretty good deal.

 

I FINALLY received the scope last night and am pleased with it just from looking through it in the house. It feels sturdy and the zoom is easy to turn. It was tight at first but after a few turns it loosened up. I like the zero reset turrets but have never used them so it should be fun to experiment with. I won't use them hunting as I'll just set it for a dead on hold out to around 275ish.

 

Hopefully it draws in a good amount of light but I will find that out this evening. I am going to go sit in the stand just for the heck of it. Maybe a coyote will walk out.

I have had good experiences with Vortex glass. I haven't seen anything that beats it's quality for the price.
