Teaching my first TN Carry Permit class

I'm pretty stoked. I've been teaching beginner friends and family for a while now, and finally got certified to teach the class. Now rather than send them to a class for the paper, I can do it myself.

Yep, same here.  Will do my first class next month.

Dolomite - sorry - no advertising intended, just wanted to share what was on my mind. I didn't supply any class or contact info on purpose for that very reason.

Please just do not pass everyone for the all mighty dollar.  Some people have no business carrying a weapon (most do).  I see some people that really are a danger to themselves and others.

I remember leaving my class ten years ago thinking, "Wow, I really, really don't want to be forced to shoot someone" after being told what would likely happen if we were ever involved in a shooting.  I think that was a good attitude to instill in HCP holders.

Sure, you don't want to hesitate if your life is in danger, but you don't want to put yourself in a position to potentially escalate a conflict with a cowboy attitude. Anyway, good luck with your classes... teach them to be responsible and make the rest of us HCP holders proud!

Got my training in the Air Force when I had to carry a colt 45 concealed . Believe or not, I carried on C-130 aircraft hundreds of times without the tsa grabbers checking me out. It was a shoulder holster. Got my carry permit later on.
