John,

Last year 1911 shooters were at a disadvantage with our 8 round mags.....

Will there be a CDP, ESP, SSP, SSR breakout?

Sorry Mark. 5 Divisions only, as per the earlier post.

The best you can hope for is that the stages will be less than 18 rounds (I know you won't need any make-ups).

Details are now up on the front page of the GRGC web site:

Is concealment required? I cannot remember from last year, nothing like waiting until the last minute......

Concealment is required for some stages, besides it will be cool enough that you may want a jacket anyway.

See you there.

Good Match!

The stages would have been challenging even for a day match.

I think several folks learned that the old cliché of "Use Enough Gun" also could be rephrased into "Have Enough Lumens."

One thing that I found interesting was the high hit ratio for the long 25 yard shots.  This was especially impressive for those shooters using handheld lights since they were in affect engaging strong hand only.

The Night Match went pretty smooth. I think we had 27 shooters and a bunch shot two guns. It did turn into a late night (why past my bed time), but it was a lot of fun.

I shot a XDm in .40 with a Beamshot mounted laser/light combo and I love my laser!

There will be a laser on the "house handgun" from now on! Not great in bright sunlight, but in the house or low light/no light conditions, it's hard to beat.

Dan is working on the scores, and they will be posted on the GRGC website and/or emailed as soon as they are completed.

The scores are done. If you didn't get them via email they are up on the website, under "Match Scores", "IDPA Scores".

Thanks to everyone that showed up and made it a success for "Toys for Tots".

The (4th?) annual event had 27 shooters, and this year, the $600 proceeds were donated to Toys for Tots.

The next match and the last match of the year will be a Tactical Rifle match on Saturday November 23'rd.
