100 rnds 9mm $25+ship??? Possible?

Just ordered from battlebagammo.com 400 (4 bags of 100 rnds) rnds of 9mm remanufactured for $100 plus $31.12 in shipping. I think this is unbelievable. Put it on my AmEx card and if it doesn't come through, I'll let the plastic company deal with it. Anyone else purchased from these folks? I have no issue with loose ammo. Many firing ranges bring it in the same way. Note, I started at 300 rounds and saw a ship charge of about $29 and thought it was a deal breaker. I added another 100 rnds and the add-on shipping was less than $3.

If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.  I'd never use someone else's reloads.  The savings just isn't worth the risk to me.

400 rounds is "8 boxes" for 130 bucks.  130 / 8 is 16.25 per box.   That sounds like it is not any better than most of the cheap factory ammo to me ????

That seems about the going rate.  Check gunbot, Freedom Munitions remanufactured is all .25 per round, the same as OP.  Georgia Arms is new ammo for the same price but still have to factor shipping.

Thanks for the reminder to check Freedom. FreedomMunitions delivers 500 rnds, with 5% sale offer ending tomorrow, to Loudon for $0.27 per rnd. That's a nickle a rnd under battlebagammo. I've shot Freedom's reloads and they cycle and go bang fine. I'll grab 500 more from them. Re reloading, I don't think for one sec that I'm as consistent as a commercial reloader. I've had some go thud and others go really loud bang, and some I guess I forgot to charge at all. I've quit doing reloads. Heck, I can't even brew a decent batch of beer. Freedom and BattleBag must trade on their reputation. Just one "thud" and they'd be crucified on the boards and blogs.

Vistar,  I was in Academy Sports yesterday and they had 50rd boxes of 9mm from $10 to $16 depending on brand.  I think the $10 box was Blazer steel case.

When's a good time to visit Academy?

Sounds like they have a slightly better price point than GM and saves me a little gas.

Anytime. They have a two box limit so their ammo lasts a little while. I think trucks come on Sundays and Wed.

Checked Academy in Knoxville on Saturday. Cheapest 9mm available was 23.99 for 50 rnds. Zero 22 in stock.

Man, things are rough in Knoxville!  The Smyrna Academy has had Monarch brass fmj for $12.99/50 and hp for $15.99/50, and Winchester fmj for $16.99/50 pretty regularly.

I posted in the Wally ammo thread last week that I found Federal fmj for $25/100.

I hope things loosen up for you soon. :x:
