I was wrong about that. A friend of mine lived over there for a while, and I misunderstood what he was telling. Because accidents - especially hit and run - are so common, many people use them for insurance purposes. He said they do not require them.

 

well they are starting to train people with devices like progressive uses monitor driving while telling people they will have lower rates.  Soon if you have a certain brand of camera system it will lower your rate.

 

However, I have a camera I use for trips, but I find it is those short around town trips that the camera is to mush hassle to mess with is when dumb stuff happens infront of me.   last week, back to back days I was almost in accidents.  Made me glad I spent the money on new rotators,pad/brake lines and bearings back in the summer.

He probably already knew they needed changing and thought he would check out car but you could tell he never hit the truck but came darn close for sure........jmho

Seems like everyone on the other side of the pond (at least it didn't look like US plates) runs a dash cam now days.
