Ammo in WV

Recommended Posts

I've been in Charleston, WV for a couple days for my dad's funeral. Stopped in Cableas yesterday and they had a good selection of just about all calibers, including popular ones, except .22. Stopped in Gander Mt today and I don't remember ever seeing as much ammo in one place ever! Tens of thousands of rounds of .223/5.56 in multiple brands. Prices were a bit high, but then it's Gander. About the only ammo that wasn't well stocked was .22
I felt like a kid in a candy store being in both places :)

Also sorry for the loss of your father.

Does anyone know why 22 ammo is in short supply?

As with anything, if there is a demand someone will fill it. I am guessing as other calibers became hard to come by, a lot of shooter turned to 22. I have read than supplies were starting to come back so hopefully this will all equal out.
