Stupid stuff you have seen other people do.

I saw a fellow that was dared to, hold a firecracker between his finger and thumb and light it. Best I remember he only lost one fingernail.

When I was a kid my friend and I dared each other to ride our bikes down a long steep hill with our eyes closed. I figured if I looked he wouldn't know because his eyes were closed. When he started veering off the road I couldn't say anything cause he would know I was looking. Damn, he almost missed that mailbox.

Did he ever find out you watched the whole thing?  If so, I bet there is a part 2 to this story.

I could say I watched a friend walk though a train tunnel, with no light and only a 6 pack of beer to the other side and back.

He could say the same thing about me.  The beer did not make it.

(the tunnel was just over a mile long and in the middle you could not see out either end.)

A close friend that I grew up with, whose stupid moments are few and far between pulled a pretty good one one morning when we were in high school.  We were about 16 and my dad would let us take his fishing boat out pretty much whenever we wanted, which was about daily during the summer.  So we're running late and get to the boat ramp just after day break, we were running late because we had had problems with the boat motor.  He's in the boat and I back the boat into the water.  The boat was an old tiller stear.  My buddy starts the motor and clicks it into reverse to back off of the trailer.  Well he forgot to lock it down first.  We hadn't bothered putting the cowling back on.  Well the motor bucked up and the fly wheel bit into his hand real good.  he didn't say anyting at the time and I didn't see it happen.  I parked th truck and walked down to the dock, that's when I noticed that he had taken off his shirt and wrapped it around his hand, and the blood had already soaked though.  After I talked him out of fishing that day I loaded the boat back up and took him home, thank God he had no permanent damage, but there was tons of blood.

I grew up on dirtbikes and when I was around 18 a buddy of mine brought his Honda 300 4-wheeler 4x4 over to our land. We were out just riding close to the house one weekend and I showed him a big dirt hill where 4x4's went and climbed. I did it on my bike all the time (Suzuki RM 250) but he had more or less just "farm riding" experience and a 4 wheeler is a lot different but anyways we lined up to go up the hill. He wanted to go first so I lined up behind him. He was just gonna climb it and go over the top and I was gonna go up with some speed to get a little air. He got 95% to the top and his front tires were almost over and he did have the correct riding stance but it was too much for the 4 wheeler. He began to come over backwards and he did a complete backwards roll with the atv on top of him. I thought I was watchimg my friend die in front of me. He landed on his back in a mud puddle at the bottom of the hill with the atv still perfectly on top of him. His face was submerged in the water. All I remember was dropping my running bike and running uver to him. I remember throwing the atv off of him in a "hulk like" manner. I have always heard of people using all of their strength in a situation with adrenaline pumping but the atv at the time felt like me simply throwing a bag of dog food. He didn't break any bones but was very sore for days. He was very lucky that day.

I've done the flip-the-dirt-bike-over-my-head thing, but never with a 4 wheeler. OUCH!

Gun show in Smyrna some years ago the person checking guns at the door somehow let one rip, luckily right into the floor. People hit the ground all over the place

I was about 60 feet from that debacle.  I never saw so many people reach for guns that weren't there (myself included).

Was at a gun show in Knoxville and I was walking up to this table when the dealer there was showing some guy his personal gun. As he was putting it away he shot himself in the hand

If that was the one from early last year, you were about 20 feet from me and a friend of mine. It was her first gun show too. Sheesh...

Three gun shows in three weeks last year. Tupelo, Jackson and Hattiesburg. Negligent discharge in all three.
