Chili Time ! ( My Recipe )

Now I'm no chef but I've been working on chili for quite some time , this is my best yet. Brown up 2 1/2 Lbs. of ground chuck then drain most but not all the tasty grease. Add the ingredients in the first pic but not the box yet.



The box is Carroll Shelby's chili Kit , add all the spice pack and none of the others , the Masa will thicken it up if you want to try it , the salt can be added to taste but the spice pack has some in it. Then kick in about 1/2 of the hot pepper packet.

Stir until heated to your desire.



Feeds about 8 normal people , or 3 gun owners..... :yum:

Looks tasty and will give it a try the first cold night we have. I know it won't feed 8 in my household- my 3 daughters don't get full, they just get tired of eating.....

Well, we had a "cool" night down in the high 40's but we didn't even turn the heat on in the house. I like a real cold night for chili. But, after seeing this recipe the wife is at the store buying fixins for chili. Gonna have some tonight for dinner....

I made some chilli the other night and I even added a can of corn and peas.  Sounds strange but it was very good.

Shelby's chili is great stuff. I normally do it a little different, but will give this a try next.

We made some taco soup last week similar to chili just use taco seasoning.

My recipe
Brown 1-2 pounds ground beef with a whole onion chopped up and a pack of taco seasoning. a can of black beans, can of red kidney beans, can of chili beans can of diced tomatoes, can of whole kernel corn. That is almost the exact recipe I use!  Although I also add to the ground chuck some cubed sirloin and use kidney beans instead of chili beans.  Good stuff!
