Chili Time ! ( My Recipe )

Now I'm no chef but I've been working on chili for quite some time , this is my best yet. Brown up 2 1/2 Lbs. of ground chuck then drain most but not all the tasty grease. Add the ingredients in the first pic but not the box yet.

The box is Carroll Shelby's chili Kit , add all the spice pack and none of the others , the Masa will thicken it up if you want to try it , the salt can be added to taste but the spice pack has some in it. Then kick in about 1/2 of the hot pepper packet.

Stir until heated to your desire.

Well, we had a "cool" night down in the high 40's but we didn't even turn the heat on in the house. I like a real cold night for chili. But, after seeing this recipe the wife is at the store buying fixins for chili. Gonna have some tonight for dinner....

We made some taco soup last week similar to chili just use taco seasoning.

My recipe
Brown 1-2 pounds ground beef with a whole onion chopped up and a pack of taco seasoning. a can of black beans, can of red kidney beans, can of chili beans can of diced tomatoes, can of whole kernel corn. Add all into pot with a pack of taco seasoning and add chili powder to taste. Edited by tennessee01tacoma

That is almost the exact recipe I use!  Although I also add to the ground chuck some cubed sirloin and use kidney beans instead of chili beans.  Good stuff!
