Went riding today at Westpoint( i have a yearly there) Spider webs out the door on this one. Luckily I had my Briar-busters on the atv.( looks like plastic antennas).

But good day, no hunters to contend with and trails were like I left them. Almost wish the place was closer.

Man I went up to my hunting lease a couple weeks ago and I came out of the woods pretty much wrapped up in spider webs even with a forked limb stuck in the rack to accomplish the same effect as a briar buster.. I actually got some in my eyes at one point, that was jacked up. Must be a good year for spiders.

I spend LOTS of time in the woods, and I have never seen (or peeled off my face) as many spider webs as this year.  I dont know if it has to do with the extremely wet summer we had or some othere phenomenon, but its pretty agravating.

I agree. AND if you want to see a grown man scream like a girl, watch him walk unexpectedly through a web with a big spider right in the middle. Ask me how I know...

I don't have to ask, UncleJak.

The spider population around our house is unbelievably bad this year. I fought with one on the front porch for 4 days. I'd walk out, get a face full of web, jump back and wipe it off. Then get a broom and wipe the webbing down.

Next morning...the same thing. Finally got the little web-spinner on the last day. Almost hated to squash it, the webs were really nice looking; but didn't need to get that in the face every day.

Yep, and lots of spider posts on here for a while now. And other forums. My entire carport has been covered with spider webs for a couple of months. About once a week I hit it with the pressure washer. The Orb Weavers have been coming out every night for a couple of months, a lot of them. Last night I walked into one that I knew was there, tangled up in web and looked down on my white t shirt big azz Orb Weaver just sitting there. Flicked him off in the grass. Figure he will be back up tonight.

Walking through the woods here to set up my  trail cam and the trail covered with spider webs every few feet.

Some Professor from the University of Maryland said the reason there are so many Spider's this year and last was because of an unusually warm and wet Spring and Summer. Warm wet weather allows insects to hatch more generations, spiders eat the insects so more spiders.

Wisdom from tractor supply. $30 for a bottle, mix 1 oz per gallon, no more bugs, spiders, scorpions, etc around my place!

Got a little tired of the spider web hairnet.

Yeah, it's getting old having to find and carry a whole tree branch out in front of me everytime I walk in the woods. That works pretty well, but heck if I know how some webs still get through to get me in the face.

Yep they are taking over. If spiders were smarter they could save themselves trouble by moving to a new spot after a giant tears down their homestead.

Got a couple of spiders here that build the same web across the same path or gate every day and I have to tear em down every day. Frustrating to both me and the spider. Edited by Lester Weevils
