Where might one take EMT or advanced first-aid courses in mid TN? I googled but didn't find much. Not looking for a multi-year degree but would like to be much better prepared in the event of any sort of fall, accident, etc.

Thanks.

Many junior colleges offer the basic EMT 1/basic course, specifically schools with a Law Enforcement or Fire Science Academy.  One additional resource depending on where you live and your availability/interest is to join a local Volunteer Fire Department.  Not only is it a great way to get involved and give back to the community, but the diversity of knowledge gained is invaluable.  Often times they have funding from grants, donations, ect...to put volunteers through the First Responder and EMT courses.

You could also join your local Volunteer Fire Department and get free First Responder and other EMT classes for free. Just something for you to think about.
