Dry firing "by the numbers"?

Recommended Posts

I'm going to an Appleseed event in November and part of the preparation listed on the website is to fire 10 dry shots in the prone position "by the numbers". However, they don't say what that means. Could someone point me to someone who can explain it to me? Also, I know they're going to be teaching using slings which I never do so if anyone can describe how to attach my sling and use it while I'm holding a rifle (ar) I would appreciate it.

Congrats on attending an Appleseed. I've been to several. One of the best deals in training you can find.

Shoot me a PM if you like if you have any questions.

As far as the sling, try to find an M-14 sling. There are a couple options for attaching it. Alternatively, a "Super Sling 2" from Walmart is a good alternative and can be used as a hasty or loop sling.

Just curious, where is the Appleseed? I'm on the mobile site, so I can't see where you're located.
