His use of fake statistics and assumptive causal relationships is astonishing.

In the US, Medicaid and Medicare make up 50% of healthcare spending not 18%.

And his declaration that there is limited price negotiation in the US is patently false.

What he fails to account for is the difference in quality available in the various countries he mentions. Using his artificial hip example in the UK, its all great sounding to say the the UK's NHS bids out their hip business to one vendor at the lowest price, except it means you are not likely to have the latest technology available to patients since older tech is what will win a bidding war.

I can go on tearing apart his nonsense , but I'll just leave it that he has a punch able face

Yeh, insurance and government regulations allowing non-contributors to receive benefits where contributors pay, is where the main

problem is. Indigent cost shifting and ER over-use are major contributors, also.

The blame can be laid, almost completely, on the government doorstep. Also, relying on insurance to live your life is expensive.

Relying on your self beats relying on someone else's scheme every day of the week. I didn't have any health insurance until I

was given one as a benefit package from an employer. That was in the late 70's. Pretty soon it won't matter because we will

see what total, government run, health insurance really costs. Hold on to your wallet!

I could only get through about 2 minutes of the video before I couldn't stand it anymore. He just seems to believe that all health care around the world is equal in quality and that we just get charged more for it. We spend more on health care mainly because most people use insurance to fund their health care. When Americans quit paying for their own doctor visits and starting using insurance to pay for their visits, the prices started to rise. Insurance was originally was for major care and now it's used for everything from perscriptions to vitamin shots. If everyone paid for their own health care out of their pockets the free market would take over and prices would start to fall because of competition on the open market.

Now I didn't say I agreed with him, I just said he did it without a teleprompter. I don't believe any of his stats but the truth is we still have the best health care system in the world bar none. That is why people come from all over the world to have surgeries performed here. I have a feeling that will all end if the ACA goes into full implementation unless they sign up in some foreign country which as greedy as the bill is I won't doubt they will let other countries sign up for it..........jmho
