Midway USA Terminating Dealer Program 1/1/2014

Just received an email from Midway "inviting" me to switch to a retail account.  Reads like it was written by Jay Carney.

I have a dealer account with Brownells but not with Midway. Even without a dealer account Midway is generally cheaper than Brownells, especially with large purchases and even some small ones. Midway has coupon codes that give you discounts even farther.

Minimum order fees and excessive shipping costs has made me back out of several orders.

Are you implying that he profits personally? The roundup program has contributed MILLIONS to the NRA, and has absolutely done its share to protect our gun rights. Like their prices/policies or not, Potterfield is one of the good guys.

Nonetheless, I find myself ordering elsewhere lately. My C&R being on file has screwed me more than once on an order when the items in my cart don't get a dealer discount. Add to that the fact that the $10 off $100 order coupon codes don't work with dealer accounts.

 

It leaves me in a spot where big orders get 10% off, but not for dealers and small orders get fees and ridiculous shipping. That's why I usually use Amazon or Optics Planet instead.
