As far as I'm concerned, it shouldn't be up to the IRS, since they are being used as a

political weapon. It took this group three years to get what the code says are qualified

to get. That is ridiculous.

This is a political war-like tool against liberty, and should be resisted at every level. We

should be taking the Alinsky/Hitler tactics very seriously and start fighting back. If you

think it will stop any time soon, go chase fairies and unicorns under rainbows.

We've seen from this administration what we fought against for fifty years in the Cold War. Communism has its tentacles in our government.

Actually, any org that does ANY political activity at all is no supposed to be under this 501 (c) (4) blanket.

The law still says:

“Civil leagues or organizations not organized for profit but operated exclusively for the promotion of social welfare…and the net earnings of which are devoted exclusively to charitable, educational, or recreational purposes.”

IRS revised it's "rules" in 1959 to read that  "an organization is operated exclusively for the promotion of social welfare if it is primarily engaged in promoting in some way the common good and general welfare of the people of the community.

Which means there isn't hardly a liberal or conservative group out there that actually qualifies under the original intent of the law, as they all take overt political action in some form or other.

""an organization is operated exclusively for the promotion of social welfare if it is primarily engaged in promoting in some way the common good and general welfare of the people of the community."

Interesting definition, especially if the regulating organization is engaging in the same practice, as we speak. Since the IRS doesn't

pay taxes, nor should any 501c4 applicant. How's that?

And since the IRS is being used as a political weapon against some other entity, like the Tea Party orgs, I wonder how that is

reconciled with current law?
