Get'em while they last. PSA bolt carrier group $80. That's hard to beat!

I'm sure it's likely fine, but note it's not a primo PSA branded BCG like this one:

differences in the PSA one: different steel, shoot peened, MPI,  high pressure tested, etc.

The 8620 bolts are brittle compared to 158 bolts. The 8620's are hardened all the way through and can crack more easily than the 158 bolts. The 158 bolts are surface hardened only so they are durable on the outside and flexible on the inside to prevent cracks. There have been a lot of sheared bolt lugs ralated to the 8620's.

8620 is spec for the carrier only. Might be worth it to buy the "cheap" bolt carrier group then add a 158 bolt to it. Use the 8620 bolt as a "last resort" replacement.

8620 is milspec for the carrier and 158 is milspec for the bolt itself.

I've sheared two bolt lugs in my time with my service Colt M4. That's with a lot of shooting, but it happened twice nonetheless. First time it locked up the bolt. I actually think that's the first time I used the mortaring technique we were talking about the other day.

Not saying it can't happen with 158's but it will be more prevalent with 8620's than the 158's. I have sheared bolt lugs off too. It is possible to still have them function but if you continue it will be short lived. An average year of training in the military is probably more shooting than most people do in a lifetime. And depending on the MOS a month of training can exceed a lifetime of most recreational shooters.
