Innovation in health care loses employees left and right

Yeh, that;s a total of 16000 employees in one company that makes and comes up with drugs

you and I do benefit from.

http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2013-10-01/merck-top-scientist-plans-major-changes-for-drug-research.html

Someone said if they hear "Obamacare is the law of the land", just one more time, they might be mad enough

to call their congressmen and senators and get off their asses and kill this monstrosity that is the direct cause

of this happening.

Not that I'm a fan of Merck, or any other drug maker, but they have come up with some drugs that do save lives,

and they aren't the only one letting people go, either. All it took to see the amount of layoffs from companies,

within and without the health care industry was the passage of the ACA. If this isn't an example of liberalism

equaling death, what is?

Going back to Social Security, using the mantra of "we're from the government and we're hear to help" has

always shown to be one more boondoggle that makes some "feel good", but others ending up in misery

because of the government intervening in something it has no business in. While many will rationalize this

and many other government programs away thinking it will do someone some good, you and I will pay with

our lives.

Your paltry job means nothing to this government. Where is there a better case for capitalism to be made?

I'm watching my sums. Between one thing and another, it's starting reach the break-even point on just throwing in the towel and living off the land vs working to support not only my family but all the hangers-on. I'd have a happier life too. Healthcare? When I get old, I'll die. I suspect I'm more likely to die in a traffic accident on my commute than of old age anyway.
