Leads me to think somebody made it up, see "imaginary technology" mentioned.

Just called it the predator helmet. Ive found stuff thats close, but no cigar for a perfect match. I see the imginary thing now. Seems its a photoshop job. Well I asked the one person I thought might know, he didn't. He did have some info that might help lead to an answer though, his texts are pasted below.

I just noticed. The guy is wearing wings. Not RAF, but RAF style. Maybe Jordanian. But they don't wear them on the right side. E

Not Jordanian. They look like British Army pilot wings. But they have a lion above the crown. These either have no lion or it is covered by the jacket flap.

And, again - wrong side. Unless....they belong to an American (or other) who earned them in UK. Foreign wings go on right side.

Edited to add, with Oh Shoots contribution I'm guessing we can call this one busted? Edited by TrickyNicky

Yeah its a photoshop by a guy who photoshops cool things for fun

looks like some photo/game thing and not a real one that you could use.

Yeah its photoshopped. Oh well lol

Oh jeez, no my guys on a roll, I've gotten a list of reasons this can't be real all based on the uniform alone.

Sometimes it pays to call in the pros from Dover.

Still...it's a very impressive image.

I've read way too many EOTWAWKI and post apocalyptic books. This looks like something I'd expect to see on one of Mack Maloney's Wingman covers.

I could see special ops units of the future using something akin to that. It's something I've thought about for sometime about augmenting our warfighters such as; noise cancelling/enhancing even something akin to hearing aids just more advanced, can save our boys the medical bills down the road for hearing loss. A mask like that would no doubt have sight enhancement tech such as NV/Thermal not to mention a zoom function and if it were to be tied in with some sort of battle network where a live sat image feed could be conjoined in with the mask then one could get a constant and accurate data feed of enemy locations not to mention it would all a sniper team to get exact distance on a target regardless of previous intel on that specific battlefield. I find that the next 30 years is going to provide a huge leap forward in technology.

Military has had peltors for quite a while. Units with really cool budgets had noise canceling ear pro which wirelessly connected to radios. Don't know how many use them now. As for the rest, they already tried a bunch of stuff like that. The Army scrapped that project a while ago. I guess adding 50 lbs of lightweight sh** onto what a person already humps around isn't very popular, not to mention cabling and batteries. No matter how high tech we get, much of that crap won't be used by the guy on the ground because there is no way to make it not suck bear balls.

Never seen anything like it. I'm not sure how functional it would be, other than a very interesting conversation piece. Imagine one of those on your coffee table, or your desk at work. :ugh:

TMF, you were saying? lol

Just more tech nerds dreaming. When they have a working prototype beind fielded by a military unit, they can talk. I posted the helmet above because I didnt recognize it and my googlefu couldnt find it. It was confirmed by the above posters it was a photoshop. As cool as all the tech shit is, its nowhere near as cool when your humping that crap around. Been there, done that. Thats why my rifle doesnt have anything extra on it.

Looks like someone liked the styling of Metal Gear (video game for those who don't know) and decided to shop up a helmet. Pretty slick job though.

There's lots of dreams who're waiting for the day that the US army is using battlesuits of some type. Kinda like that exoskeleton suit that has made it's rounds on the internet for the last 10 years or so.
