Battle of Ft.Sanders in Grainger County on the 12th/13th of Oct.

We went for a few years and might go again since its like 4 miles from our house..

They also have old time stuff set up that is in line with the  whole era.

Food, blacksmith, repro clothing and some antiques..

Also.. Abe will deliver the Gettysburg address...And he looks  JUST like him.. I mean JUST like him..its  scary.. ( they did it every year so I am sure its the same this year ..)

I went to that a few years ago and it was a lot of fun.  You are allowed to walk through the camps and there are re-enactors doing various demonstrations.  You can even get an olde timey photo taken done with period correct equipment.

 

It is definitely worth it to see those heathen Yankees getting slaughtered.  I loved seeing the volleys from the cannon's on hand.

 

It was a lot of fun.

You know, one thing you never see reenacted is Mr. Lincoln's trip to the Ford Theater.

I sure wish our sitting POTUS would make a trip to that theater.
