Does anybody have experience with the RISR? I need a cheek riser on my Magpul MOE collapsible stock, and it looks like this might be a good, if not cheap option.

Joseg, do you like it? Is it worth the cash?

the current AR that has it, I don't have optics on it, I'm using a matech rear BUIS, it lines up perfectly and I'm quicker getting my sites lined up.

Bit of a necro, but I had one of these on my OBR before I had to sell it to get my eye fixed. The purpose for it is so that the charging handle can still be run when the stock isn't fully extended. It does in fact work as advertised and is a great piece of kit, but Magpul makes (or at least made) some fixed risers for the CTR series that just snap into the grooves on the side of the cheekpiece of the stock, and are a whole lot less money. Use the RISR if you need to accommodate the charging handle, but I'd consider the fixed versions if they'll work in your application, and spend the extra money on range time or ammo.

Thanks for the info. I actually did wind up saving my money and going with the snap-on Magpul riser. It works just fine. Being able to work the charging handle with the stock completely collapsed wasn't worth an extra $50.

But you missed out on the Dillo Dust. Larue's secret meat rub, not that kind of meat rub, Grilling Rub..

I did order a couple of their Dillo 1911 bushing wrenches, and was highly impressed when they threw in some copies of the US Constitution. Definitely moved them up a couple of notches in my book. Didn't see the Dillo Dust. How is it on venison? Edited by Tennessean

Update. LaRue is having a 25% off polymer accessories sale, and that pushed me over the edge to get the RISR. I put it on today. It was worth every penny. Oh, and they threw in some Dillo Dust, too. I love those guys.
