Now, if they would only get some stuff back in stock. Of course, I won't be waiting for one of those. :D

Cool, though!

Aww the memories of a SAW Gunner.. Humped one when they had the old round bar stock, long barrel. I got to read about the Para minimi in SOF magazine when I was in Panama, right after that had to send my baby in for overhauling and got the newer plastic stock.. Tell ya what after shooting a RPK, it's a toss up on which one I would prefer..

I see your .300 BLK and raise you a .338 Norma Magnum, with the ability to change to .338 Lapua Magnum.

Sorry but that's a m240 replacement and it's one heavy a$$, I'll take a m60 echo model or the mk48 (sexy) over it.. now the m249 in 300 blk with just a barrel swap, interesting indeed... Sorry having flashbacks of my days humping the saw in the jungles of panama..

Actually the new GD .338 gun is about 4 pounds lighter than the 240...

Admittedly, the ammuntion is going to be heavier, but it also provides a pretty big bump in effective range, terminal ballistics, and barrier penetration.

Dig it!!! Postie right?

That or a 4 is on my bucket list but the Shrike will have to do for now...

Yeah it's a postie. Good and bad. I guess the good is I'm not too concerned to shoot then piss out of it :o)

Trying to get it up to a full 4. Still need the railed top, feed tray, stock and trigger housing.

Nothing shabby with the Shrike. I'd have one had I not built a 249 too.

Born, bred and belt fed :o)

Yessir Kris. I'm ready!

Another SOT had me cut the SAW up and sell it as a parts kit. Well he hit me pretty hard over the head with some cash but it was still tough to do.

The 60s are fun to build, nothing much that doesn't simply rivet together but that SAW man, FN don't share nuttin and everything is welded on it, trunion, rails, etc. it was a fun build and real accomplishment when it cycled it's first belt through.

You know I just made a couple thousand 223 the other day mike. We need to get out shooting!

Well that's 2.5 minutes of trigger time...LOL

The first time I took my 14yr son out, I told him to do bursts or dump it, when he finished, he looked over at me and I was shaking my head after a 180 round dump, he said what, me that was $90 of ammo you just shot in 13 seconds... :stunned:
