Can I carry it while getting my mail from my mail box?:D

As long as you do not climb inside your mailbox when you do.

"
Mailboxes are considered federal property, and federal law (Title 18, United States Code, Section 1705), makes it a crime to vandalize them (or to injure, deface or destroy any mail deposited in them)."

So what if you use the drive-up mail drops located in the parking lots. Should one stop before entering the parking lot, unload thier weapon and seperate it from the ammo and then proceed into the parking lot and then stop after exiting the parking lot to load thier weapon again.... or do you have to go home first, drop off your weapon and then return to drop off the mail?

Freakin' stupid!

Well, strict interpretation of that law would mean you have to go home and drop weapon. Says you can't "store" it on PO property either, eh?

But what if the mailbox is one for your church, but the church is held on school property... and your church uses REAL wine for communion instead of grape juice, thereby becoming federal property, AND a school, AND a place where alcohol is served for on-site consumption?!?!?

:D

My head hurts now.

You've violated so many state and federal laws, I think you have no choice but to call 911 and have yourself arrested at that point.

Might as well have a few stiff ones while you wait, too !

You just described my life.

Oh, I just put up a new mail box post and new mailbox, since it is "their" property, where do I need to send the bill. I also charge $85 per hour for my services. So it looks like $25 for the post, $15 for the mailbox, and $85 for the labor (I, like an attorney or therapist, rounded up to a full hour, actual time was about 45 minutes), I come up with $125 owed to me, but the federal government for me placing a mailbox onto my property.

since we are getting nutty here. The place I get my hair cut serves wine, free of charge without the option to buy. Is it illegal to carry there given the fact that they are just giving wine away as a perk to customers??? I am guessing they do not have a beer or liquer liscense.

So...... what do ya think??

That law just says "served" not "sold"

39-17-1305

(a) It is an offense for a person to possess a firearm within the confines of a building open to the public where liquor, wine or other alcoholic beverages, as defined in § 57-3-101(a)(1)(A), or beer, as defined in § 57-6-102(1), are served for on premises consumption.

Don't fall for it, they just have real crappy stylist that blame the bad haircut on the fact that you were drunk and couldn't stay still!:drunk::2cents:

So by definition, I'm not allowed to carry in my own home..........:2cents:

Your home is not open to the public. That's the stipulation the law makes.
