I wasted about a year on The Incredible Machine when it came out in early 90's for the PC. It was more complex, but same principle.

I spent a few weeks on this game - it's a blast. If you want solutions, I've got tons.

After you complete them all, it get's really fun to try to compete them with as few pieces as possible, or trying to complete them "unpowered" (without any moving wheels).
