Thought id post this since I think it deserves mentioning. I stopped at a pawn shop a little while ago. As I was going in there was a car parked next to were I pulled up. A young woman got out and walked in, she was probably in her mid 20s and as I was looking at shotguns she was trying to pawn something, think it was a video game. Looked at the shotguns and walked out. When I pulled my keys out of my pocket got in the truck to drive away a young guy about the same age as the girl who was in the same car in the passenger seat opened his door and was pointing at the ground. Looking where he was pointing a foot from his door I had some money folded up in my pocket and it had fallen out when I took my keys out. This young man who clearly could have used that money, could have simply let me drive off and picked it up instead chose to do the right thing and get it back to me. Before anyone asks yes I gave it to him. It wasn't much and didn't matter because if it were not for his honesty I wouldn't have had it anyway and would have had no idea where it went to. Just thought this was worth a mention.

My father always told me no good deed goes unrewarded and That was very nice of you to give him the money. I would also have rewarded the young man for his actions also and if more folks paid attention to the good folks that are still around most folks would be a lot nicer to others around them (except in new york that is....   I think folks up there even hate themselves but just tolerate themselves)........jmho

Double the karma!  Good for both of you.

Well done by both of you. May your compassion be rewarded 10 fold.

Interestingly, you will find a lot of honor and honesty amongs the folks who have the least.   My cynical theory is that the poorer folks who are dishonest tend to get ahead faster (thus escaping poverty in favor of jail or success)....

Seriously, though, a good story with 2 good deeds.  Well done!

With the company I usually keep (at work of course) it's nice to hear stories of honesty.
