This ever happen to you?

Happened to me. I was having a endoscopic nissen fundoplication done, was supposed to take 2 hours at most, complications I ended up on the table for nearly 9 hours. Woke up in the bed after surgery and thought I remembered waking up during surgery. I remembered waking up, lifting up my head, seeing the Doctor and nurses and "things" sticking out of me and that was it, no pain or anything. Asked the Doctor if I had woke up and he said "Yep, for about 5 seconds". Either way, Doctor still did a good job because he told me I may have to have the  fundoplication done again after about 5 or 6 years. That was 14 years ago, went to the Doc last year and he took a look during a Colonoscopy and after it was done asked me when I had the endo done, told him and he said whoever did it did a heck of a job because it still looks perfect. A Full Bird Colonel at Fort Gordon, Eisenhower AMC did it. Must have underestimated his own work.
