Interestingly enough, I really see nothing truly "negative" from the Blaze article. Which is actually a Reuters article. To clarify, it is EXACTLY what Obama has been promising, so why should this be negative to these 20,000. In this case, 20,000 Home Depot part time employees are being moved off their insurance onto Obamas Health Care exchanges. But at the bottom of the article it clearly states that they will get more comprehensive coverage at lower rates. AT TAXPAYER EXPENSE.

Obama promised Government offsets (That would be when those certain people started telling everyone that Obamacare would cost us Trillions we do not have to spend, I believe it was 11 Trillion over 10 years), and "Heck, your even going to get checks back from your Insurance Company". Of course the 340,000 full time get to keep theirs, at higher cost. Seems everyone I have seen that higher cost is a 100% increase.

Then there is Rep. Gardner (R-Col).

And the promises just keep trudging along.

Because Obama also promised that if you like your current health care, you can keep it. Not true for those 20,000 at Home Depot, or the 160,000 Walgreens employees being moved into exchanges.

But at the bottom of the article it clearly states that they will get more comprehensive coverage at lower rates.

And we can count on that because the government always provides things more comprehensively at lower cost, like edumacation edakasion edjicashun schooling.

Oh, I see yall have not heard the good news that will befall all off these people. Obamacare will eliminate the 40 hour week for many Americans. That person we all love dearly has pointed out that this will be a Godsend and allow them to, I'll quote her here, "Follow their passions" since they will be afforded much more personal time by Obamacare.

Proving once again she is a moron.

This is what a majority of the American people voted for...I no longer feel sorry for those who are paying the price for their foolishness.

You should feel sorry for "those who are paying the price" because it's us and our children.  WE are paying for THEIR foolishness and will be for generations to come.

Do you really think that, as a nation, we have generations left?  With the debt piling up so rapidly, a POTUS openly flouting the law, a DOJ that refuses to investigate criminal activities committed by their friends and fellow travelers, an IRS that has become the administrations' personal attack dog...

Bless your optimism.  While I'm sure there will be a federal gov't in two generations, I have no hopes that any of us would recognize what will become of our nation.

Cripes. Kinda like the celebration of all those Chinese people who live in California that town is putting on for them. Those Chinese people who came to America to escape Communism and have a better life. Appears from what I see they really appreciate their towns celebration of the anniversary of Chairmen Mao's Revolution and the flying of the Chicom flag over City Hall. Boy howdy..they seem to really appreciate that I tell ya what.

You know, I am not sure the '30 hour' clause is as big a deal as it is being made out to be.  When I started college, I had been working full time at a grocery store.  I wanted to cut my hours but they kept scheduling me for more hours than I could work while carrying a full class load.  When we discussed it, I was told that I had to maintain a schedule of at least 36 (or maybe it was 32 - I can't remember for certain) hours a week to be considered full time and keep my benefits (to which I responded that it had been my intention all along to go part time.)

Another place I worked (a factory) had a weekend shift where the folks on that shift worked 12 hour shifts on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.  That is 36 hours but they were considered full time.  So it sounds like the whole '40 hour work week as the definition of full time' is a red herring, to me.  There are plenty of other problems with Obamacare (some of which we probably won't even know about until it is fully implemented) but I am not sure that this is one of them.

I should?  Well...maybe I should but I just don't have it in me anymore.

I went to DC twice to try and stop this monstrosity legislation...I called and wrote politicians...argued with people who thought Obama would just be the greatest thing ever (not just liberal Democrats who love Obama and anything he did but people who were typically conservative or at least middle of the road). When it passed anyway then I started donating time and money to candidates that I thought might make a difference.  Not only has it not made a difference but people REELECTED THIS SOCIALIST ASSHOLE IN CHIEF for a SECOND TERM!

I guess I could feel sorry for all of us who are paying the price but what good would that do? Feeling sorry for myself or anyone else won't change anything - if I'm sorry for anything I'm sorry that this great experiment is coming to a close.

I've never worked a job where 40 hours/week was all I needed to work - a 40 hour week would seem like a vacation to me! ;)

You shouldn't feel sorry for anyone in that situation. If you
"should" do anything it should be the thought process that
people make decisions by.
If people get their heads out of their asses, and realize cause
and effect, and quit trying to get something for nothing(taxes),
they might change their minds on this problem. Keeping on
lying to people and under educating them is the effect of the
ideology in charge. Some of this is too late to be helped and
those who wanted this to happen will see a huge problem,
known as their opportunity.

Problems are going to continue to mount. We "should" be
fighting this at the ballot box until...

My work week is around 60-70 hrs. Looks like I be putting in a few more.  I just got notice today that our group premiums are going up 33% or you can choose that BS that I am paying for with my extra 33%

Up until about this time last year, I worked for Jacobs Engineering.  I'm the bread winner in my house and our family coverage was running almost $12,000 a year, so I feel your pain.  I figure Jacobs pays zilch towards our insurance.  They started steadily increasing the rates, right around the time that the Government passed the Health Care Bill. Obviously, they were looking then, at dropping healthcare all together, as a benefit.

I changed companies last year for a HEFTY cut in the cost of healthcare (and actually better benefits) and a minor increase in pay and I have never regretted it!   I believe that in the next 5 years, you will see most employers drop health insurance coverage for even full time employees, in favor of Obamacare.  And that's how we will end up with universal health care.

It's not in favor of Obamacare, it's in favor of survival. When the government sets the rules in the game, all the players

can do is what they have to to survive. This wasn't brought on by any company.

A generation?...I'm not sure I'd bet on a decade left.

It has nothing to do with their survival.  They are an international mufti-billion dollar company, with their finger in every engineering pie imaginable.  They LOVE, LOVE, LOVE sucking the Government teat, because it makes them lots and lots and lots of money every year.  They saw a way to save money on healthcare, at the expense of their employees, in order to be able to offer their stockholders more dividends, pure and simple.  And since Obamacare passed, why not have that cover their employees.

We are seeing more and more companies thinking this way.
