Hello everyone. I stumbled over this link and figured i would register. I have a few firearms but dont get to shoot as often as I would like. I figured this forum might help with that matter.

I guess I can show some of the goods:

guns.jpg

Here you see my 12 Ga Beretta Pintail, custom built LMT AR-15, Glock 23C, Glock 26, and the Marlin .22 plinker.

I am not a Glock snob, as I have a few other pistols (Taurus and Browning). I have aspirations to own some others as well (specifically H&K and Sig).

The gun I am most proud of is my AR-15. I built the lower myself using all LMT parts. The upper is a LMT 16" M4 Upper with t-marks, chrome lined barrel,1/7 twist, true M4 profile and barrel extension. I finished it off with ACE AR-15 M4 Socom Buttstock and Ambi Ergo Sure Grip.

Anyway, its good to be here and look forward to talking guns with everyone!

Welcome to the forum, I wish I had an AR. I do have an AK that if things continue on the way they appear will be a nice commodity in the future.

Very true. I have been in several firearm discussions over the last couple days, part of the reason i found this site. Its comforting to know that I have the tools needed to protect myself if needed.

Welcome, and the now obligatory "nice AR!" If it shoots as good as it looks, you've done well! I yearn to build my own AR but am still intimidated by the whole process. I will get there, though!

I see you have both compensated and uncomensated Glocks. What's your take on the "C" versions? I've heard both positive and negative.

I can say I dove head first into the AR-15 build. I really wanted to know the ins and outs. It was not as difficult as I had thought and was quite fun. A friend of mine went to the store and bought his, and I had been there and done that before . . . I was ready to build!

About the C versions. Honestly I can tell you I shot it better before I got my other non compensated Glock. I dont know if it is because of the form factor difference or the compensation. I have shot my 23C back to back with a regular 23 and I liked the way mine felt better, but again it could be just because it was what I was used to. There was a little less kick and it makes the secondary shots better. The thing that made the biggest difference in my shooting experience with any glock is training myself to stop the trigger release after it clicks. It makes all my following shots much better due to less trigger pull and more predictable "squeeze".

On a side note, seeing fire escape from the nostrils on the 23C (at dusk) is kinda neat. :D

Welcome to the group. Love that AR

I see you are from Dover. My mom is from there and my uncle is still there on Lee Circle (Delmer Atkins). I always bring my guns when I go visit . . . lots of land out there to shoot on! I always enjoy it.:D

Well vandy let me know when you'll be coming this way, and we can kill some paper together. A glock trigger is a wonderful thing once you learn to use it.

Delmer atkins rings a bell for some reason, but not sure why.
