I never got to play the older games and this is the first time I have heard of this so I might try it out depends and if and when I get tired of star trek online

Ah, I've played a buttload of them since I was a kid. Watched the cartoon of Battletech from the 90's, played MechCommander Gold, and 2, Played MechWarrior 3 & 4 with respecting expansions, gonna play MWO once I get my powersupply on my PC fixed, also read the novels. The whole concept of a SciFi Midieval era has always intrigued me. The giant robots? Nope, don't do a thing for me... :rolleyes:

Just finished reading Exodus Road: Twilight of the Clans I for my second read through. Yep, I needs me some Mechwarrior goodness... SEYLA!!! Glory and victory to the Clans!  :D

hmm maybe if its free to play.

I played the heck out of 1 or 2, whichever one was for dos with polygon 3d graphics...  was surprisingly good for the time it was done.

Is it getting good reviews? I have played all of the MW and MC series, and have been playing the tabletop game for years.

It is free to play though you can pay to accelerate your progress.

Check out the youtube vids, it is GORGEOUS for a free game. They had gotten funding from about $1.5mil in donations, aye, the fan base is still going strong! My ONLY two complaints that I've seen so far without having played it is that it uses CryEngine 3, which I wished they could have worked something out to get the Frostbite engine as even the trees don't go down when they're run through. The other thing is that the mechs don't go critical if they recieve enough damage, that really kinda bothers me. BUT a cool factor is that the game is set in a 1:1 progression rate for the actual timeline. 2013=3050, which means by the time they come out with some downloadable content it will be related to the Clan invations.
