$20 for $40 Brownells Gift Card

It is the equivalent of a $20 off coupon, but right now on Gearhog they are selling $40 gift cards for $20 to Brownells. I've purchased one to Midway before and it was a very pleasant experience.

EDIT: Just purchased one, noticed that is "expires" on 9/20/2013. Unless that is a mistake, it expires in two days! The paid value ($20) never expires, but you only have a couple of days to spend the full ($40) value. Kinda sneaky, but it was in the fine print.

 

EDIT: Cancel all of that. It looks like they "edited" the ad so that it expires on 9/17/2014. If that is the case, I am satisfied.

Buyer's remorse I suppose. I wished I had taken the extra second to look at the fine print. Most of these "deals" on Groupon/LivingSocial/Gearhog have an expiration date several months to several years ahead. This one expires in two days. I cannot immediately think of anything I need that they sell on there, and due to the cost of shipping it nearly negates the "deal" in the first place. Amazon has cheaper pricing for 90% (76.5% of statistics are made up) of everything Brownells sells. If I had a few months to spend it I'd be more than happy. Could have found something today better to spend $20 on than that. But perhaps someone else will like it.

Looks like they actually expire in a year, and should be able to pair a free shipping coupon in the future. Not bad.

I did a $40 deal from Brownells about a year ago offer by gear hog. Worked fine. Brownells is usually a little higher on stuff though.
