a good question about it still being a fmj, someone else will have to answer that one, although and I could be wrong but I don't think that it is.  So hopefully someone else will chime in with a better answer.

 

On second thought, you're probably right, as many other hollow points in other calibers are also jacketed, but of course aren't considered FMJ. I guess it's just that hole is so small on .223 it doesn't really resemble what I think of as conventional hollowpoints, made me wonder.

 

But yeah, I guess a round can't classified as both a hollowpoint and a FMJ.

I (think) you are good with any hollow point or soft point.

 

Since we are off topic a little here can I hunt with my slidefire stock in the locked position? :shrug:

Isn't it still FMJ, though, like pic below?  Or does a FMJ hollowpoint make it technically no longer FMJ?
