Cerakote'd S&W 19-4

I'd want to know the reason for the paint job.  Could be it was drug behind a car or something.  If it checks out, then start at $300 and go from there.  The value, in my opinion was ruined when it was painted.  It would just be a shooter.

That's what I figured. It would just be a shooter for me. I've got a nice GP-100 in the safe to look at!

I would buy it if: 1) I could get it for about $300 2) It had the original grips 3) The original grips are in extremely good condition, so I could sell them and make a good chunk of my money back. Any one the three don't pan out, I'm not interested. But that's just me. Edited by TripleDigitRide

I'm not sure I'd give $300 for it...maybe not even $250. I'd rather have an old S&W with little finish before I'd want this one. In other words, the price would have to be extremely cheap for me to be interested. I can live with cerakote on some old semi-auto pistols, but not wheel guns.

wow. I would say if its in good shape with no slop in the action, it would make a good shooter. I was given one by an in-law that was locked up with rust. cleaned it up and replaced a spring internally. it left some minor pitting on the cylinder and near the muzzle but it shoots like a champ. I would be ok with it around $350-400 with a decent cerakote job. most get into cerakoting because its a great finish. have a smith look it over if you aren't familiar with old revolvers and have at it if you are comfortable with the price.
