HEH...these stickers have been around more than a year, my bro-in-law is a leo. He keeps the FOP badge on his plate and his wife's plate. Dad-in-law has used the FOP badge on the boat trailer, worked like a champ.

As far as professional courtesy.....I am allll for it. I am not a LEO, but I have 3 restaurants in my family. If we know you, and you are a "good" friend you will have a shorter wait than most folks. As far as LEO's go, well...I think they, as well as firefighters, deserve professional courtesy.

There are alot of Nashville judges that give themselves this same courtesy but never have to walk into a burning building, or face a loaded weapon on a regular basis.

Sh**t...fell off the soap box...sorry..damn my ankle.

^5 those that do the job others can't or won't....

This is wrong on so many levels.

jjc...I am not saying that these folks get away with murder...lmao. I just like the LEO's I know, and those are the folks I write about. They don't abuse it, so it's not much of an issue for me. I guess some folks feel different and that is ok, I think there is a quote about it in the Bill of Rights somewhere...that we have the ability to have an opinion...heh...it's all good.

The sad thing is that today, at Greene's in Knoxville, I literally had to ask the guy behind the counter what these blasted stickers were. I saw them all over Atlanta back in college, almost never in San Diego, and then a fair bit again here in E.TN.

As for my take on it... well, to put it anecdotally, I could never be a police officer - I would be pulling over my coworkers far too often.

I understand the :screwy: of the HCP Badge and stickers...

I wonder if any LEO has been targeted as a result of the blue decal or front auto tag.

I dont have Clergy Stickers on my vehicles but my Tn Tag is close to my username and i get asked if im a Minister/Preacher a lot.

Apologies sermon8r..I got this whole thing off topic....back to you in the studio Sam............

Let me start by saying we've been selling these stickers locally, to police only, for about 8 years. When I was a police officer I never had one on my vehicle, and wouldnt suggest you put one on yours either. Back in the day noone knew what they meant, no everyone does... including gang members and such.

It was meant as a way to identify a police officer from a distance. So if you get pulled over, and you dont have a badge it isn't going to help you. Unfortunately it will probably offend the officer that you have it and you will get the max.

Also, I know of numerous cars being keys and tires slashed that have had those stickers, FOP plates, and such.

Either way, its not a good idea.
