Several times.  I've partially worn out 2 Bearcats, somehow completely jammed up a .45 Vaquero and there was something else I broke but forget what it was.  We shoot 14 Rugers pretty hard, from LCPs, LC9 to Vaqueros in several calibers.  Ruger CS has always been polite and really quick to fix my problems.  I've never been charged for repair even when it was obvious I messed it up.  Sometimes they send (email) you a prepaid FedEx sticker, sometimes you pay.  They have always paid to return to me.  I have only had good service from them.

Only horror stories I've heard about Ruger service, at least on TGO, was

- someone's saga about a refinish job that took forever and wasn't up to snuff when it was finally done.

- Dolomite's multiple disappoints with a Talo version couldn't get refinished and some other hassles with service there mostly regarding disinformation regarding threaded barrel and whatnot.

That was me. 6 months, and it came back looking like it had been dumped in a barrel of cold blue over the rust. A return trip, and another month and a half, and it was good. I'd never do it again, but... you may have better luck.
