Franklin Drive-In

I only go to the movies at Stardust in Watertown. Indoor theaters suck. I like my space.

I haven't been since I was a like 3.  I remember my parents going a couple times.

I would like to do it again before it is 2 late.

Back then they had to bring in the speaker box from the pole normally at the drivers door.  I don't remember it sounding too good either.

Well, wife and I just looked, and found this.

Midtown Drive-In
2728 Roane St. Hwy.
Harriman TN 37748

We at the Midtown wish to thank all of our loyal and dedicated customers that have supported us this year.  We are closed for the 2013 season.

Due to the movie industry's decision to quit making 35 MM film after 2013, the Midtown Drive-In will close as a Theatre.

Parkway Drive-In
2909 E. Lamar Alexander Pkwy.
Maryville TN 37804

The Parkway is closed until the Spring of 2014 due to the unavailability of movies on 35mm film.

These were on the page of open ones

A few more mouse clicks lead me to find http://projectdrivein.com/,  seems some are trying to save a few drive ins.

For anyone in East TN, there is a Digital Drive in, Athens, TN.

This weekend they are going to have RIDDICK.  I am thinking about going Saturday night.

Is that the old Swingin Midway Drive In?

I believe so, never been there.  But I believe I saw that on the website and they swing sets below the screen so no one gets the wrong idea.

Sparta Drive-In ALWAYS has a double feature of new and current movies and if you can catch them on a special night, they'll have a triple feature(When the Simpsons movie came out, the movies playing that night were Daddy Daycamp, The Simpsons, and the Halloween remake. Needless to say we ran late to show up that night.) for $5.00 per person. WHOOP-WHOOP!
