Oh goody gumdrops. Any ammo you don't need? :dirty:

Posted

Brought home 1 case of ammo to go with the barbecue forks.

Was gonna use these as newbie rifles, or maybe tent pegs, but naturally didn't get them home in time for the shoot. Well, maybe next year.

Naturally I'd want to shoot them.

But since I don't know much about Military rifles.

I don't know what they are, and if they are better off left in the box?

But I'd still take them out of the box....

I don't know what they are,

They are Moisin Nagant M-44 carbines that shoot a 7.62x54r round

They are fairly dripping with cosmoline so it appears.

Oh how I wish you didn't have enough .22s already.

I'm home for the weekend, but I am leaving in about 45 minutes. No guarantee I will be able to make it home next weekend.

Your options are to wait for me to come home, or call Sue and come by (or have Mike come by) and pick one out yourself. Please don't stop at the house without calling beforehand, as when I am not home Sue would tend to provide a truly memorable meeting.

Cody, what sort of .22 did you have in mind?

The only one that I'd be willing to trade.

The Armscor M1600, that I've been meaning to either replace the front sight on, or JB Weld it into place. You've seen it, that little semi-automatic .22LR I have. Gave just short of $200 for it, with taxs and TICs.

EDIT: For buyers/traders, that cosmo is going to be FUN.

The Armscor also has a rifle bag, a single magazine, and a CHEAP nylon sling.
