What if....

I realize we all are picturing Obama as way, way, way off base on Syria, loosing ground and looking silly. I had to turn off his speech the other night because it was making me... disgruntled. but....

I was listening to some news this morning and the thought occurred to me:

What if Obama has no desire to attack Syria... What if this whole thing is a ruse that, while it makes Obama look like a fool, it provides the threat that opens the back door for Russia and NATO to secure most of the chemical weapons in Syria... Keeping them out of both Assad and Al Qaeda's hands.

Ie. Obama and Putin are.. though disagreeable, working together on this.

Obama's legacy is tarnished, but the people of Syria, Israel, and the United States are kept safe.

I know it seems crazy, but Obama's missed the mark so badly on this that I have a hard time believing it is genuine. His individual politics aside, he and his machine owned the republican party the last two elections. They are far better at politics and marketing than what they are showing, face-value, right now. Maybe he's smarter and less selfish than all the other presidents were. ??

I know, I know,... But Obama drawing thin red lines over and over, and giving congress (and himself, and Assad) an out, coupled with Putin in an op-Ed for the NYT??

I'm just have a hard time believing any POTUS is that incompetent - especially one who effected wholescale revolutionary change to the way elections are won in America.

Too much stumblebummery leading up to present situation, which is that Russia keeps her Syrian port, airfields, flight space, and no significant reduction in Assad's WMD's will likely actually occur over the long shambling series of events that will play out from here on. I doubt it's even logistically possible as long as the shooting continues.

 

Now the first (admitted anyway) US weapons are being supplied to God knows what "rebel" forces so whatever alliance it may appear that BHO and Putin have formed, it's all just for their respective national audiences, and the adversity will continue in the form of the various outside influences arming their favs.

 

Putin doesn't care if Assad has the chems or not, doesn't really even need them. If Putin wants the Assad regime toppled at some point, he'll topple it.

 

But no, in short, there's no way this was some hidden brilliant plan where BHO suppressed his ego for the overall good of peace and humanity.  Quite the opposite really, a desire to change the focus on other piles of crap he's had to tiptoe around for a year now; but instead of that happening, he's only deposited new and more visible piles of crap, and he's actually stepping in them. Because he couldn't find a clue smeared with clue musk during clue mating season in a field of horny clues.

Ok for my :2cents: opinion. I think it is nothing more than another smoke screen added to the all to many smoke screens that have surrounded this administration since Obummer took office that Washington DC has a cloud around it 10 times thicker than the smog cloud around Los Angeles and it has now become impossible to see the White House to actually see what they are doing any longer. It began with His first lie when he said this will be the most transparent administration in History and since that day if his lips are moving he is lying. Obama care, Fast and Ferious, Benghazi, NSA spying, FBI spying, Sneaking weapons to Al Quada through a rouse of helping the insurgents in Egypt over throw a dictator, doing the same thing in Libya and even supplying air support with out Congressional approval, drawing a red line in the sand and a year later when it happens he said it was not his red line but the worlds red line when no one else in the world was saying a word. Then he wants to attack Syria, then he wants a vote to attack Syria and now he wants Russia to partner up with to cover his butt.....Now we have Obama care kicking in and even the Unions that backed him are baulking about the health care program along with many Americans that want it killed. O'Reilly made a comment last night that explained every bit of it. 

He said that he has been involved in news for over 35 years all the way back to the Nixon years and he has never seen an administration in such total confusion and turmoil in all his years of news broadcasting.........He hit the nail on the head. :up:  :up:

No "leader of the free world" is going to let a former Soviet KGB agent and Colonel manhandle him the way Putin did Obama. Obama has zero credibility left. I am sure everyone else does too, but I follow global politics very very closely. It is true that the US has never stood alone against world opinion but I had to look and not even Carter or Wilson have been handled so roughly. You put some community organizer up against a person like Putin and I dont care who he is, he will get a beat down just like Obama just took. People need to see this for what it is, an experienced politician from a type of Political environment where politicians disappear for not conforming talked our CINC into unilateral disarmament, watched as he threw away the power and respect of the oval Office, set our country on a path they have already been down, did their assessments and assessed correctly that our CINC would back down. He handed Obama a beat down, and he hasnt stopped yet. Putin looks like he should be awarded a Nobel while Obama looks like he needs to be back in Chicago handing out flyers. Putin definitely did not underestimate the moral courage of the Socialists running this country, he already knows from experience they are inherently cowards. In case no one has noticed, the left is collapsing before our very eyes. They are losing political battle after political battle and Constitutional battle after Constitutional battle. They are now at the point they are eating thier young. Domestically this administration is fighting for thier political life and losing, Internationally they are no longer relevant. In 14 months we need to clean house All we need now is a leader waiting in the wings in early 2015 when campaign season begins. Hillary was their last, best hope. And with the right person, she can be shown as the made up fairytale politician she is. Hate to make predictions, but I feel we are not seeing international compromise, we are witnessing the self immolation of the liberal left. The gravy train is coming to an end. I have to admit I am quite a bit more proud (not that I was ever really less) of the American people. The Constitution is working. The Socialists took thier best shot and woke up the American people. Just look around. We can end this completely if people would just show up at the polls in 14 months. Afterwards Obama, Kerry and McCain can sit around for two years playing tiddlywinks for all I give a fk.

One thing is certain. It is not about protecting people, and it is not about chemical weapons. Pipeline from Qatar perhaps? It is all about money. Even if it actually was about protecting people, who made the United States world policeman? We have our own problems here. Take care of your own mess then help your neighbor.

Though I "liked" your post, I'm afraid I don't think it's enough to "wake" enough of the overall electorate to reroute the liberal roller coaster for the presidency. I still believe only truly Bad Times that disrupt the Uncle Sugar Train will change it.

 

As usual, this whole Syrian saga is only on the radar of maybe 1 or 2  in 10 folks who vote in the American Idol race every 4 years.

That's the damn problem. The left has no problem getting voters to the polls. Just charter every bus available and hand out free sandwiches and cokes. This upcoming election will the centrists and right use Im busy as an excuse again? Will a conservative with flaws make them not vote for anyone in effect giving a vote to the left. I have said it before and I'll say it again. Im sick of hearing fair weather Patriots. I would rather have a flawed Conservative than a perfect Socialist. My family and my friends. If they choose to exercise their right not to vote or choose to vote for Socialism they deserve everything they get like loss of jobs and hours while costs rise and the economy falls. Before that happens I have made it my job to insure that it doesn't. They will get to the polls and they will be informed. Btw, I am not disagreeing with you, but whats at stake coming up, we should make it so there is no excuse. Have a car and going to vote? Plenty of people WOULD vote if they could get there. We need to play thier game. When a car shows at the polls it should empty like a Barnum and Bailey Clown car, even if their are a few left wing voter's inside.
