Went to Mahoney's and tried Bates, Redback, Magnum, SWAT, and ultimately I like the Danner Acadia 8" the best, After I meet with HR and find out if I get a Uniform allowance I will find out if I have to pay the full $240 for them.

I had all kinds of boots and the Danner Acadias were the best.  They took the longest to break in but lasted the longest.  Also they are waterproof.  It is stupid to buy boots that aren't waterproof.

The Danner boots are good. I bought a pair of the Acadias few months ago and somehow either I had a dumb moment or the pair I tried on and the pair I bought weren't the same size. So I have a new polished pair that are one size too big. Most expensive office decoration I have!
