You mean price wise or height wise?

You can mount any cheap scope on them; if that is what you want.

I’m using a Leupold, but I’m just saying….

I bought an AimShot Holographic to play with. It’s not a EOTech but it’s not $500 either. :D

Midway has them for $139. ($114 if you have a C&R)

what makes a holographic sight so great and so different

Holographic sights are intended to be used with both eyes open. Regardless of your head/eye position, the bullet goes wherever the dot is.

what makes a holographic sight so great and so different

The fastest target acquisition I have ever seen, both eyes open with a full field of view, small unit that weighs less than 9 oz, picatinny mount, lighted selectable reticles. You don’t even have to shoulder the weapon; all you need is to be able to see the HUD.

They don’t have any. (There may be some, but most of the ones I have seen don’t have any.)

Yeah and they will cost you more than the sight. Larue has a PoBoy special that includes the mount and a Hensoldt 3x magnifier for $199. rest of them run in the $650+ range!

Made by the same place. The Eotech has a few more bells and whistles, mainly the hood.

Well here is the difference in my cheap AimShot Holographic and the EOTech…

Maybe one of you guys with the Bushnell can try this.

Put the dot on a man size target about 30 yards away. Hold the rifle still and move your head. Does the dot move? With my AimShot it does; with the EOTech it did not.

That’s parallax; and that is what I would guess the difference in price will get you.

But if it doesn’t move…. You made an outstanding deal and the prices will be falling in line shortly. :)
