Yes, that's right, cheap surplus AK47 mags are available again. You can't even find junk Promags for this price. Apex gun parts is a great outfit, so if you need any mags, buy with confidence. Last time I ordered "Eastern European" mags from them I received a few East Germans, and even a Chinese flat-back.

very tempting. But I have lots of steel mags. Think I will wait on the Magpul mags

I'd still buy steel mags over Pmags. I will buy some metal reinforced Pmags when they come out, but IMO gen 1 AK Pmags are going to be Tapcos with Magpul slapped on it.

Yeah, I'm not going to buy the gen1 mags. I will wait on the reinforced mags. I have a decent stash of steel mags. I bought 10 when you posted this the first time. Havent ran any yet, but did clean them up and inspect them. One of them had 1 loop of the spring broke off, otherwise they are good.

Yeah, the reinforced ones will be worth checking out. Might give the ((10))s a run for their money!

 

The 10 I got were ok, but 3 of them had deep enough dents in the body that prevented reliable function. Took a screwdriver to them, they are GTG now. I got a Yugo (My favorites) last time!
