Let me start by apologizing for my absence from this forum. When I joined this forum I had every intention of trying to be a positive member and influence.

Three years ago this May my Grandfather died, and my Grandmother has dementia. Those of you that have been unfortunate enough to experience this know what I mean when I say everyone split. My father and I found out that a lot of people were asking her for money every couple of days. Well when my father told everyone no more money, they dropped off the face of the earth leaving us with it. Me a 40 year old disabled man with severe spinal atrophies and DDD among five other things. My father disabled as well has only partial use of one lung due to TB 25 years ago and severe authoritis. During caretaking for my grandmother my disability came up for revue, even though I was declared permanantly disabled due to nature of my health. This was curious because I had to go see a government dr. On my way to my appointment I got a call from local police that an elderly lady was standing in tractor supply parking lot with my number on her for emergency. Well I had to go and take care of her which made me late for my appointment. I was about I walked through the back of the office and no one was there, anywhere so I left and called disability to explain what happened. A week later I received a letter saying I was being difficult and problematic, so benefits cancelled. I actually went to a hearing with disability and they reported that we find that ***my name** can go back to work. It skipped two lines and stated he can do any vocational occupational job that does not require the use of his arms and legs, and does not have to stand or sit for periods of time. You guessed it cancelled.

Well after hiring a lawyer and getting my other Drs to talk to the gubbmitt dr things are getting back on track.

Now SHTF I have not been paid since December 12 and now my family understands why I prepped as we have lived on them for 9 months. Things were shut off and on but by being prepared we were never very uncomfortable. As for food preps we stocked things we normally eat anyway, things ran out but we had enough. You can never stock enough toilet paper.

I will post more things that I have learned from this time in my life but I feel like I’m rambling.

Now I have to build preps back up.

Thanks for your time.
