What is your favorite sports-themed movie(s)?

I have always enjoyed Rudy even though I have never liked Notre Dame.  I am sure everyone is familiar with that one.  My other favorites you may have never heard of.  They are:

Wind http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0105824/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1 and

American Flyers http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0088707/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1 .

There is a lot of 80s and 90s cheese in both movies, but I love them.  I have the soundtrack on both of these, and they are awesome.

Miracle always brings the tears.  Especially considering the one of the subjects of the movie was killed in a car crash during filming.  Major League is great too...not so much the sequels.

Hoosiers, although I am not a basketball fan. To me, it is more about second chances than sports.

Remember the Titans.

We Are Marshall

And Tin Cup.

The Natural.   I saw it as a kid and it was magical.  If I saw it for the first time today, it might not impress me.  But that is the movie that jumped into my head.

"We are Marshall" is an excellent movie. All 3 are good picks.

I would also throw in "Bull Durham". Classic.

The Natural is like the revolver of the sports world. People with class and taste would choose it ;)

The best scene in sports related movies is when Gene Hackman measures the distance from the rim to the floor in Hoosiers

And any list without caddyshack in the top 3 is a tragedy Edited by Tennjed

"Cannonball Run."  Hey, it is about a car race, right?  Would, "The Last Boy Scout" count?  Football sort of figures prominently into the plot.  "Kingpin" was pretty funny, IMO.  As for pure sports-themed movies about sports teams, the only thing I can think of that I might possibly find more boring than watching football (for instance) would be watching a movie about football.

Lots of good ones already mentioned.  Any Given Sunday and The Big Lebowski.  Ok, perhaps The Big Lebowski is not so much about bowling, but it is good.
Sandlot, The Bad News Bears (both the original and the remake), Major League and Kingpin. Sorry, I have several favorites.
Agreed on all accounts. I don't like most sports movies because they follow the same general format. Way too cheesy for me to enjoy. Adding the comedy in there makes it bearable. The inspirational sports movies make me cringe... cliche after cliche. Edited by TMF
