I apologize if this has been posted, I did not see it.  Buds has listed a Blued (actually listed as Black DLC coated stainless) Ruger RSR1911.  I do not see it listed  on Ruger's website.  It is listed as a Talo exclusive.

Anyway $1,024.00 (In Stock at time of posting)
Walnut engraved grips
Gold Navy Seal Foundation Logo
$100 donation to NSF for each one sold

There aint nothin prettier than a blued gun....

Unfortunately, all these various super duper firearm "coatings" these days are a far cry from actual bluing, eye candy wise.

I saw one of these the other day and was not impressed.  The slide is high gloss, frame is matte.  Just doesn't look that good at all in person.

I saw one awhile back as well, I have to agree with your observations, not for me.

I have both the SR1911 government and commander, but that one is not on my list. IMO if they did a true two tone I may have consider it. This one doesn't do anything for me so, I will pass.

That would be ok IF they made it all one finish, either all high polish blued or all matte blued. And put the regular Ruger grips on it, those are hideous. And got rid of the color fill on the ruger logo on the slide.

I have wished they would make a blued SR1911 since the stainless ones came out, but that one has horrible execution.

I like the grips but everything else is pretty much spot on.

Black or blued, it will show its age soon enough. This probably won't.1_zpsfd2a32ba.jpg
