O he did vote yes in committee, the other day, I was pissed and let him know with a call to his office.

That was my point, just as he voted to get Manchin-Toomey onto the floor.

 

I won't fault him though, if he winds up voting again the resolution itself.

Man I went and opened up that chart at the top and began reading all the different statements made by the different politicians and that is exactly what each answer sounded like. A typical political answer. Some almost made ya want to feel sorry for them for be undecided. If they are so undecided about something this serious what in the heck are they doing in Washington in the first place? When they run for office don't they know up front that things like this may come up and they should be prepared for them?............. :stunned: :stunned:

Bersaguy - I hear what you are saying but what specific policy or strategy are they being asked to support? This didn't just start last month with the use of chemicals. I still cannot understand what our objective is --- tactically or strategically. The stakes are high here and our CINC doesnt seem to have a clue. (Ditto for Kerry.) This is a perfect example of Obama's ineptness, especially as it relates to the Mid East. He encouraged the Arab Spring and was way out front on wanting Mubarak and Qadaffi out, although leading from behind. Why has he been so lame on Syria? For him to now say he didn't draw a red line is simply disingenuous at best. And the Russians and Chinese certainly have no fear of him. But I agree with you that our politicians are weak and only seem to be politically motivated. God help us if something more serious happened that was a true imminent threat to our country.

I'm a damn warmonger, and even I'M against this intervention!  If there is no U.S. national objective to be met, then we should stay out of it.  Chemical weapons, bombs, bullets...the dead people are dead regardless of how you kill them... like Jerry Clower said in one of his stories, "How do you kill a rattlesnake wrong?"

I honestly think is was Obama's Arab Spring that got our people killed in Benghazi and he has done everything in his power to shift the blame on anyone he can but the American people are not stupid and they know it was his fault along with Hillary Clintons yet neither will step up and be honest or even close to honest........ :2cents:

If we ever find out the truth about Benghazi we may know why Obama is hell bent in going in. Makes zero sense at this point. If Congress votes not to go in and he goes in anyway, I believe there is some deal made somewhere. Wasn't all this secret crap one of the reasons WWI started?
