ESEE 4

I've been wanting an ESEE 4 for a while but never got around to buying one. I was in SMKW and actually found them on sale cheaper than about any place I've seen so went ahead and got one. Came with the sheath and clip and I have an extra Tek Lok here at the house for it. Not my pic but the same setup.

I've got two 3's, ones a RAT though, and a Candiru. They had a few Izula II's on sale. I should have got one yesterday, it would have saved me from making another trip today LOL. I wouldn't mind getting a 5 or 6.

I have the green and black on the 5s.  The green was a gift since they didn't have the black and the wife knew I wanted one.  Hated it a first, but one thing is certain, if you ever drop it in the woods, you will be able to find it again.

Not ground breaking info or anything but here's a size comparison of the Candiru, Izula, 3 & 4. I was too lazy to get the ESEE out of my Jeep so I used the RAT.

I have heard good things about these. What kind of price is pretty good to pay for one?

Like HK said; these things tend to multiply if ya like knives...  I'm a great ESEE fan myself; along with the knife-connection scales, they are great...

They dont cost an arm and a leg, they take a great edge, and they are made in a variety of sizes that are, in fact, useful...  We've got several of them tucked away in the jeep, in camera bags, and shootin bags...  They are a great thing...

Enjoy...

Am I the only one that though that as nice as the knives are they could have made the sheath look a little better :pleased:

A common lament among numerous fixed blade makers.

I just added a kersahw field knife to my collection. They are about the same size, but he sheath is even worse and very bulky. Looks like ill continue carrying the Kershaw compound

I really don't mind the ESEE sheaths. They could be better but the retention is good and they'll work with a tek lok.

I recently got an Ontario Night Stalker 7 and a Ranger Afghan. Love the knives but the POS nylon sheaths they come with are pretty bad.

I will eventually pickup a Candiru, maybe a six.

I think the sheaths were improved this year.

If you go to the knife connection site you can buy a blade and scales only and lineup some of the sheaths Dale carries or go after an after market sheath. Godspeed Tactical and Regalia Innovations make nice Kydex sheaths and there are a number of great leather craftsmen and women out there. Edited by DAdams

Picked up a like new Candiru with scales and three sheaths.
It had already gone to the 91bravo sharpening spa for a hair popping edge treatment.

Come on over and visit the Esee forum. Great bunch of folks and we have diverse interests from all over the world. I'm SmokyMountainDA there.

I went to SMKW today. I picked up a set of scales for my stripped Izula and decided to get my buddy's daughter an Izula in Venom Green for Christmas. Figured I'd wrap it with some lemon/lime camo paracord. (God knows that stuff won't match anything else.) She'll love it and her mom will hate me for it. It's a win-win.

I have to admit, I bought me one too.
