Major Kong was the Slim Pickens character in the movie Dr Strangelove. I like the movie and grew up in the Cold War era. I've used it on several forums for the past five or six years.

Bob (of course), and had more Berettas than any other brand when I joined. Should be "S&W Bob" now, based on that logic. And, after buying a G19, could maybe be "Glock Bob" sometime in the future.

My last name is Rogers and after four or five months in the Navy I was nicknamed Buck. That name stuck with me at every command, so much so that only people in TN that I knew before I went into the Circus knew my real name. The 1032 is a 4/per rev vibration on the H-60 helo. I was an AD (aircraft mech in the Navy) and I spent way too much of my life correcting and reducing vibrations on the SH-60B/F and HH-60H.

Like quite a few here my username is named after a gun I had at the time, a Kimber 1911 .45. K191145 sounds better than the other name I considered, "Twenty dollar yard sale Rhom .22 single action with a missing ejector".

I did most of the work settin' up my neice's above ground pool, one Summer and when finished my neice came up to me and said, "Nice work Bonedaddy", which was a line from the movie Nightmare Before Christmas. It stuck ever since. When I used to frequent the local bars  , throwin' darts all the time, you'd be surprised at the number of women that wanna know "why" I am called that. Boy, were they ever misled. :dirty:

Dang typos.

My last name...People started calling me by it and whenever someone new came to work one of the others would say something like "Go see Broomhead". The newbie would usually say something along the lines of "You shouldn't call people names behind their back like that." The other people just busted out laughing. I prefer just Broom, but I'll answer to Broomhead, Broomie, Broom, etc.

I joined TGO shortly after I had my son. I wasn't used to being cooped up in the house caring for a baby since my "thing" had always been hunting and shooting and being out in the woods. I absolutely loved being a mom, but still wanted to at least talk about my other loves, so I found this forum. I had been carrying a gun for over 20 years and having a child wasn't going to change that, so "PackinMama" just seemed appropriate. ;)

Mines a play at the old Richard Nixon nickname tricky Dicky.

It occurred to me that I could use the name after watching a Futurama episode where Nixon (president of Earth) gives everyone a tax rebate in the form of a tricky Dicky fun buck.

3 reasons:

1st, I work to make things as "safe and secure" as possible (sometimes it ain't possible).

2nd, my home, my refuge, is as safe and secure as I can make it with security system, CCTV, a firearm on me and others available pretty much anywhere in my home.

3rd (and most important) -- my eternal destiny is safe and secure (not my doing, but the Good Lord's- got that fixed many years ago).

Was a camp counselor, showed up one day wearing a camo boonie and camo trousers, got nicknamed "commandojoe" by the other counselors.

cj0e is the shortening of that, and has turned into my gaming handle for a while.

My sisters always called me Jordie, since my real name was Jordan. Well when my niece started talking she tried to say Jordie but it came out Dottie. I was dot going into the Marines, and then a friend started calling me spots and it just sorta stuck.

Tapatalk ate my spelling.

I have been a Lions fan since I can remember. I even had season tickets for 20 years until I sold them to a friend last year. So for you that know me know that means I bought my first season tickets before I could drive. All my friends say that I am the biggest Lions fan they know. It has been my gamer tag for almost 10 years now.

I want my wife and kids to experience it often.  I'd like it to always be making the rounds in the world.

In the past, I had been known to be too assertive for some folks' taste.  In ways, that disturbed the peace and hamstrug wonderful plans; now that screen name reminds me that it's usually easier to be productive when things/people/relationships are at some level of peace.

Mine is a nickname I picked up back when I was powerlifting. A buddy at the gym said my arms were as long as a monkeys and it stuck. The 2500 is from my truck, Dodge Ram 2500 diesel, best truck I ever owned. Been the Monkeyman for quite a while now, added the 2500 because Monkeyman is always taken.

My initials.  Clever, huh?

Oh, well, at least my name isn't Sherman Herman Isaac Taylor.  That would make for some interesting initials (my dad's first name was 'Sherman' and my mom used to call him Sherman Herman Isaac Taylor as a joke.)
